Entertainment in Minsk
There are lots of interesting things to do in Minsk. There are balett and circus performances of very high standards. In the last few years lots of new cinemas have been opening. There are pleasant amusement parks to visit and lots of other things to do. Below we take a look at some of the entertainments in Minsk.
Balett and opera
Minsk offers good opportunities to watch balet and opera performances of a very high standards. Tickets are cheap and can be bough either at the theatre holding the performance or at one of Minsk’s ticket offices.

Circus
Belarusskij Gosudarstvennij Tsirk (Belarusian State Circus)
If bringing kids to Minsk one has to visit the circus. If going without kids one should consider borrowing someone else’s kids as an excuse to visit the circus. Tickets should however be bought in advance.

Amusement parks
There are a few amusements parks in Minsk. The picture below are from the one in the very center of Minsk. Big Wheel, Dodgem cars, riffle shooting, arcade machines and lots of other attractions are all here. Especially the Big Wheel are recomended as it offers a splendid view of the city. If interested in old arcade games a visit to the arcade hall is compulsory as it has some pretty cool arcades from the Soviet time.

Another nice amusent park is located in Park Tjeljuskintsev. This amusement park has attractions like Dodgem cars, Viking ship, 5D-cinema and Roller coaster.
Cinema
The most important thing to know if you want to go to the cinema in Minsk is that the movies are almost always dubbed in Russian. However, there is no shortage of the latest American films. Most cinemas in Minsk are small and consist of only one auditorium, but there are also some cinemas with two or more auditoriums. Some of the cinemas show films in 3D. Afisha.relax.by. A movie ticket costs between 11-12 Belarusian rubles, or about 4 USD/EUR (January 2025).
